I found my passion for film and video in high school. After graduating from UBC’s film program, I spent a couple years in England in post-production and marketing. I was very lucky to attend the Marche at Cannes as part of Continent Film. My travels took me to Ghana, where I volunteered at local television station Coastal TV directing, shooting and editing documentaries and narratives. Before turning my sights on promotional video, I spent time on the Thai-Burma border where I shot and directed a documentary with New Zealand-based non-profit SpinningTop.
Besides my film background, I also have strong roots in small business. Growing up, I watched my father build his business. While attending university I helped build a retail business, and this is now my second small business. I know how hard it is, how much work and how many sacrifices it takes to be successful. Video marketing has helped a lot of companies drive sales, raise brand awareness and increase subscribers. I take what I learned in independent film and utilize it for small businesses and non-profits – a unique cinematic style for promotional filmmaking.
