Businesses are facing an unprecedented challenge right now, and many people are turning to video conferencing and other forms of online video for networking, marketing, and communicating. We are focused on supporting people with video editing and animation services, as well as coaching on DIY video production. We’re offering discounts for small businesses and non profits, and we’ll be posting resources for people who want to create their own videos. Watch this space!
For those using video conferencing or filming your own marketing and communications videos, we have teamed up with Danielle Benzon (voice coach, Inspired Coaching) and Melody Owen (content strategist, Nutritious Truth) to offer a FREE 2 week video challenge. We just finished our first challenge, and our next one will start May 18. We will be offering daily technical and presentation tips, and will give personalized feedback on one video posted to our Facebook group each day. Email engage[at]upperstoryfilms.com to sign up.
Check out the videos created by our first challengers! I will be posting a video per week from each participant who completed our first challenge on the UpperStory Films facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UpperStoryFilms/

How UpperStory Films helped a business like yours attract their ideal clients.
Goodly Foods needed two videos to promote their line of soups and thank their sponsors. We helped them from initial concept to final cut – full-service video production.
“They spent many hours filming us in various locations, expertly and without intrusion to our staff or the production of our soups. They made the process fun and engaging and really listened to what we were looking for in each video. As a result, their final professionally edited versions captured the true essence of who we were and what we were trying to communicate.”
Jo-Anne Lauzer, Operations Specialist, Goodly Foods
I hired UpperStory Films to shoot a promo video for my company. I did a little research beforehand and was impressed with the video they did for United We Can. I liked Jen’s aesthetic and the way she told a story using multiple voices and tied it all together in a compelling way, so I gave her a call. She was easy to work with, is professional, communicative, and knowledgeable. She’s also clearly 100% invested in what she does. She consistently went the extra mile to get the best possible footage. She comes up with great ideas for the way your particular story can be told in video form. I’m very happy with the results and can’t recommend her highly enough. Thanks, Jen!
What’s been stopping you from using video to boost your business?
Video can be expensive! We believe in video for all – to make it easier, we offer payment plans, we can create videos in steps over time, or we’ll simply work to your budget. We believe the investment is worth it.
Productions take time – but it doesn’t have to be your time. After our first meeting or two – and your approval of our proposal – you can step back and just give us feedback during the editing.
Not many people like being on camera. Your clients’ testimonials can sell your business, and a voice over can fill in the blanks. We also create animations – there are options to keep you out of the video.
There’s a lot of gear involved and the video process can feel daunting. You can be hands off on the tech side if you want – or if you want to learn, we can take you through the basics so you can shoot your own videos.
Why do we believe in video for business?
Video can take your story around the world – it’s the preferred medium for search engines and social media.
Seeing is believing. Video builds trust, whether it’s a testimonial, demonstration or dramatization.
Enhance your existing strategies:
video can get more emails opened and get more clicks on your CTA.
The response to the video you did for me has been great. People see it, and look at me and just say, “This is a no brainer, why isn’t everyone doing it?”
